The 2019 Chicago Auto Show was one of the better shows in recent memory, despite missing some key manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes.
The new Supra I believe looks better in person than in pictures, albeit very similar to the existing 86/BRZ twins, I was however disappointed in Toyota’s use of fake vents.
The new Shelby GT500 drew loads of attention, and rightfully so. Power figures aren’t yet released but it’s got old-school hood tie downs so it’ll certainly be pants shittingly fast.
Meet the new 911, same as the old 911 but 5% larger.
The big surprise for me today came in the form of a matte green Lamborghini Aventador SVJ which was the most crowded car on display, even next to the Bugatti Chiron.
Behold $3.5 million worth of blue-woven carbon fiber Bugatti Chiron. The kind of car to make even the very wealthy green with envy.
About as green as this very green Lamborghini Huracan Performante.
The new Phantom has so much presence, several people surrounding it could muster only one word to describe its appearance: rich.
he McLaren 720S enjoyed a great deal of attention, despite the fact that I overheard multiple people refer to it as a Lotus.

Lol that every single photo you posted was taken right by the entrance.
Agree with you about the Supra - it’s smaller and better looking than I expected.
Don’t agree on the show itself. I was disappointed that BMW and Mercedes weren’t there, and underwhelmed by most of the rest of it.
