Time to knock off and go have some fun. Got any big plans for the weekend? There is a car and plane show in Georgetown tomorrow, just north of Austin. I think my son and I will go check it out. Pictures certainly to follow!

I’m doing a 2-day Porsche Instructor Training program (it might only actually be one day and I’ll just do regular instructing on the second day, I’m not sure). I’ve actually instructed with the local PCA previously but after this I’ll be ‘official’.

This is the last club I’m planning on becoming an instructor with, I’ve got another 25 trackdays already scheduled after this weekend and I’m not sure there are enough free weekends to add another club. I’m already an instructor with: SCCA, PCA, BMWCCA, APEX Academy, Edge Addicts, and Eagle’s Canyon Raceway. I spent the last year and a half getting all the instructing credentials so that I don’t have to pay entry fees for any trackdays (instructing is work though, especially in Texas in the summer).

I’m going to an autocross on Sunday. Will be my first time doing it with the 335. Kinda dreading it because it’s a 2 hour drive away and I have to be there by 8:15. All for 6 minutes of driving. I just hope everything goes well.

My wife and I are beginning to think about starting to commence looking for a new/used car. I think we’ll go to Honda/Toyota tomorrow. I’m actually working on a nine-year plan, which is when my three kids will (presumably) be out of college.

I’ve been a Blackhawks fan ever since I was a kid living in Chicago in the Bobby Hull, Tony Esposito days. I don’t watch much any more, but I do keep an eye on where they are in the standings.

Car and plane show sounds interesting. I know nothing about planes, but I tagged along with my friends when they took their son to the aviation museum, and while he was busy running around all I wanted to do was look at and read about odd engines and planes.

Myself, I’ve had a week that I’d prefer to forget, one really made difficult by company decisions (I’ll leave it at that) so I’m going to drink a lot of wine tonight and maybe treat myself to some eggs benedict tomorrow morning.

Yep, 2 nights for us too. Were staying at the Vienna Dream House Castle Hotel, which is right next door.

Ive been there before, but its been qu ite a while and it seems the 2 parks have had some updates in the meantime.

I told my wife that somebody from Oppo is going, and she wants a full report. We’ve got two weeks on the Left Coast. We start by flying out to the Bay Area for a family reunion of sorts at my brother’s house. T hen we’re going south down the coast to Monterey, San Simeon, Big Sur, etc before finishing at Disneyland and flying out of LAX.
