Today I officially started applying for electronic tech jobs in the Portland, Or area. Time to quit hating my job and what it makes me feel like and move to a place that has what my family needs. Wish me luck! If you got a lead on someone that needs someone who knows thier way around a 6.5 digit DMM and a 4 channel oscilloscope like a high schooler an iPhone, let me know.

Welcome to PDX! While I can’t point you in a specific direction, there seem to be plenty of jerbs around here judging by the number of my coworkers who have left to take better jobs in the last year. Where are you moving from? Have you seen our housing prices? I just don’t want you to be surprised is all...

Still in Virginia for now...and yes. No sticker shock there. I used to live near Sacramento, so the prices aren't OMG! But the jobs here aren't what I like. They're all defence contractor types. I miss being a tech.
