I was just discussing cars with someone and they referred to a Legacy as “one of those Outbacks that’s all low and stuff “.

Cannot confirm. Most people I’ve talked to in Maine refer to OBWs as taller Le
gacies.

I’ ve been calling a roommate’s CrossTrek an Outback for a couple weeks now, couldn’t honestly care enough to have looked too close, I just knew it was a Subaru. No one ever bothered correcting me until last night. He’d mentioned his girlfriend had a Crosstrek, too. She was up for a couple days, and it turns out they have identical CrossTreks. Same colour, trim level, options... Who TF does that? Like, have some imagination or something.

Did you know there were three generations of Outback Sedan? And that Subaru created it specifically for the New England market?

No. Subarus are just not a vehicle that’s ever appealed to me. But I live in a mountain town with lots of “active lifestyle” people, and I’m pretty sure the last month we didn’t get a bit of snow was July 2017, so they’re understandably ubiquitous. We have a few in our work fleet so I’ve driven and worked on a bunch and I kinda get it, but still not for me.
