FRIDAAAAAAYYYY!

It’s going to be a good weekend. The weather looks good and I’m scheduled for a whole bunch of flying! First flight is a cross-country with my instructor this afternoon/evening. I’m hoping to do my solo cross country flights tomorrow and Sunday. After that, I have to prep for the check ride and I’m done!

5 hours of solo cross country flying;

1 solo cross country flight of at least 150nm total distance with full stop landings at 3 points and one segment of at least 50nm between T/O and landings; and

3 T/O’s and landings to a full stop at an airport with an operating control tower.

Really, that’s not much more than what I’ve already done. My plane cruises around 100 mph. Navasota is 20 minutes away and we’ve been over there multiple times , so I have to pick another airport that’s a little further away and add  two more stops that are about the same distance apart.

Also, although I understand what nautical miles are, my brain reflexively thought “150 nanometers” when I read that. :)

I have a number of those reflexive thoughts and they always seem to get me into trouble. :)
