The cuteness is undeniable. Between my Miata and my Fiat, I've been told that my car is cute on plenty of occasions. One person even apologized and said "I'm sorry, you probably don't like having your car described as cute." Uh, it's cute. Why deny it?

When my Mom ran her shop two of her big moneymaker customers both had M inis. They were in the shop every other week, it felt like . One was just three years old and had a mystery electrical draw that killed the battery if it sat for more than two days. The owners (who had $$$) ended up replacing every major electrical component. The only remaining possibility was a faulty factory wiring harness. Rather than go through that ordeal, the property manager would just pay us to send a tech to jump start it every time the owners were going to be at the house.

The other Mini also had (surprise!) e lectrical issues. Burned out convertible motor, busted gauges, broken power seats, etc. The factory seat covers were poorly sewn. Mini USA somehow didn’t have a replacement in stock and had to ship them from Germany, which took two months for some reason.

 I drove both of them and they did not live up to the hype.

True, but this is more of a gendered situation. When my girlfriend borrows my car people say it's cute. But people seem to think that a man wouldn't like having his car called cute. It's the same car. Its cuteness has nothing to do with me.
