Right? And it’s a 350!
I don’t mind slow, really. I had a bunch of E-series vans with that engine at my last job and none of them ever had engine problems, so I guess it would be ok. One of the pics looks like it might have a CEL on though.

Fyi the E-series never got the 3valve heads or variable cam timing. Which is usually the biggest problems with these engines.

It’ll be slow but it’ll never fail on you. I’d take that over the ticking time bomb that is the 6.4 PSD.

Take a look at all the rot taking hold on the rockers and fenders.

It’s not in any real danger of becoming mine. I’m going to wait for a bit. That little bit of rust could take forever to spread here in Colorado, though. It depends on the situation.

There’s another one I saw , a RWD single cab with the V10. If I’m picking wrong engines, I might as well go with that one . And it’s construction yellow.

That truck is comically large, but the heart wants what it wants.

I kinda want the opposite of this.
A regular cab short bed F250. This didn’t come from the factory, but people do conversions.

No, no, no. These are a whole new level of slow. Seriously made my car’s 100hp feel fast.

Could have had a way nicer one last year, for less money:

So it’s a 7,000 lb truck with a 250hp NA, gas, V8. No thanks I’ll pass. This engine felt whimpy in an F-150. I can’t imagine it in a 350, never mind trying to tow what a 1 ton is meant to tow.

I’m a little afraid of the 6.no. I would love a big manual truck though.

The diesel is the wrong engine in this gens case. It rivals the 350 Diesel in unreliability.

I’ve driven a 5.4 equipped E-series with 3000 lbs of cargo in it often and it was slow, but not as slow as you'd think. Besides, I love F-150s with the inline six and those are slow too. I'm patient.

My father in law has 2 of them, one 03 Excursion that he bought new in 2002. And a 03 F-350 that he bought in 2013. They have 185,000 and 140,000 miles now respectively. And the only problems he’s had was that the start motor fell off the Ecxursion a few times, like the bolts lose themselves up and it fell off, a couple years ago we put locktite on the bolts and it hasn’t happened again.
That and a lack of oil changes did lead to needing a few new injectors in the Excursion, but that was at 180,000 miles, and my father in law is horrible about changing his oil. Would regularly go 15,000 miles with out one.
He’s actually had more problems with his newer 6.7 truck.

At my last job a few of our 5.4 E-Series with the 5.4 hit well over 300k. One was going strong at 375k ( on the original transmission, even) when some fool ran a light and nailed the lef t rear corner just enough to total it. It was tragic.
