I had spent the night before one-upping some random soccer hooligans on a BMXing(??????) holiday. Them buying us anything and everything you could mix with coca-cola, me buying us straight alcohol. It ended with me by the docks at 4 AM unable to find my hotel that I knew was no more than a block away.
That morning I woke up in my hotel slightly surprised that I had my wallet. I was meeting friends at the airport at 2, deeply hungover, and all I wanted from life was coffee and a cigarette.
Later, I’m pretty sure I ruined the clutch on a rental Citroen. It was a good day.
