Nice! I’m making Chinese tonight too: sticky rice dumplings.

My wife is making carne guisada. My contribution is to cook the tortillas. There’s a company that sells raw tortillas and they are soooo much better than the half-cooked tortillas in the bread aisle.

Alas, I can no longer consume such wonders. My life has been a white bread experience these 54 years and now, no flour and no sugar. The reality hasn’t fully set in yet, but I’m getting less fat...

That’s a bummer. I’ve been limiting my calories for a couple of weeks. One good meal a day, limited calories the rest of the day. No restrictions on what I consume for that one meal. Seems to be working for me. My wife said I’m looking thinner. The scale agrees.

Yeah. Food has owned me my entire life. One 54-year-long white bread experience. I’ve managed to cut my food intake by probably two-thirds. Three very satisfying meals per day, nothing in between, no flour, no sugar. I am not weighing, but tying my shoes has gotten easier.

Thanks. We’re cooking new and different things together and various hot sauces are my friends.

You might enjoy some Swamp Dragon hot sauce. They don’t use vinegar as the base, so the taste is very different.

Thanks for the tip. Though the vinegar base is often one of the things we're after when we use, about half the time.
