At times like this I’m always glad I invested in UPSs for the dsl m odem and wireless router. Power company website says it should be back on in under 2 hours, so no reason to hook the generator up.

Yah, the wind is roaring here at my house just over in NH. Nights like this I remember how I think about things in the yard. Before leaving something loose around the yard I think, “Is that how I’d leave it in the back of a pickup on the highway?” If not, put it away or tie it down.

I’ve learned through past experience that UPSs are very useful for many things... however, powering a waffle iron isn’t one of them...
