Mrs. IM was just in a car accident. She called me just long enough to say that she was ok.

Fuck. It was her fault - she rear ended someone on the highway in traffic. Dented front end, one airbag deployed.

Pumpkin decided to check out the GTI. She cares nothing about my pain. The car is apparently driveable. That means I will have photos for you soon.

He mentioned that an airbag deployed - I don’t believe there was ever a Cressida in the US that had airbags.

is it drivable? on some cars an airbag deployment will trigger a disabling of the fuel pump. also, depending on how close she sits to the steering wheel, that airbag will cause her to be pretty sore in a couple of days.

airbags save lives and prevent serious injury, but they sure love to remind you they did so.

If that airbag deployed that car is NOT DRIVEABLE! Sure it will function but if you have any other accident without the airbag replaced you could be in for a lot worse. Be safe out there!

A-yup! Just had someone rear end me on the freeway, though it was a whiteout blizzard on a highway that came to a stop. Sooooooo kinda hard to be like “Alright, why did you not come to a complete stop on the ice before you hit me even though you couldn’t see me!”
