I just wanted to thank you here for keeping OppositeBlog alive and trying to maintain some quality in the stuff thats being posted. I frequent the Blog very often, much more than this side of Oppo, and have pretty much given up on ‘regular’ Oppo a long time ago.

Again, thank you so much for the Blog. Youre maintaining an important corner of the internet for me (and many others along with me!).

Ha, speak for yourself. I was never car-crazy as a kid, oddly. I was never exposed to any interesting ones, my parents never cared about them as anything other than basic transportation, and I didn’t hang out with the kids who did have that passion.

Wow, thanks for the repost, ol’ Kinja showed a share to Oppoblog (from DasWauto I think) but not this one, so sorry I missed that you did this for me. I was so worried Kinja would eat the whole thing every time I worked on and edited it that I copied the whole thing before saving every time . Thanks again for the kind words, and for sharing this story. I kind of turned down my presence on the interwebs for awhile (meaning here and LALD, the only sites I hang at) as my general car enthusiasm ebbed and life flowed, but as I said before, I really enjoy writing so I hope I can work on that with meaningful posts here and there. Hopefully I get to do stuff that’s worth writing about, that Oppos want to read. Thanks again man, really appreciate it.

Definitely. Thankfully, I have some family members and friends who have “the sickness” who I can share stuff with, but I’m sure for many here, OPPO is the only group they have to share this kind of stuff with (without getting weird looks - ha!).
