If I came across one in decent condition with a manual I would buy it.

These are becoming rare even here where quite a few sold when new (as Acura, of course). I have to imagine survivors there are maybe double digits.

That’s the only Legend in my town that I can think of. Heck I even believe that’s the only one I’ve ever spotted in real life. This Legend Coupe appeared to be rust free.

Do it. It would pay for itself if taken care of.

That is a good DOTS. I used to own one very much like it.

I don’t recall ever seeing one anywhere in Germany or Europe.
They sold like hotcakes here, but the last model year was 1995. Coupes were always uncommon, but a pretty car for the day.

Your chances of spotting a Legend here are very slim. Japanese luxury offerings were not popular by any means in 1990s Germany. The most common Japanese luxury car from that era is probably the Nissan Maxima aka Infiniti I30.

That car is actually still around Las Cruces. I saw it a year or two ago, although it sadly isn’t quite as lovely as back when I owned it.

Great that it’s still around but it must hurt to see it being neglected like that.

When we’re cheating like that, I’d argue it is the mk1+2 Nissan Primera (aka mk1+2 Infinity G20)

Fiery hot take.

You can imagine big sometimes soft and floaty barges like those sold here as fast as they could build them.

Yet no one was interested in them here. Too big, soft and floaty :)

You know what so many North American drivers like.
These could have a mild sporty (or at least fast) pretense, and were mostly high quality without cheesy styling. People flocked from premium domestics to these.

I have mixed feelings. I would’ve loved to see it continue to be maintained to a very high level, but I knew that was unlikely to happen. Given that it was a seriously old car with more than 165 k on it when I sold it for $2400 years ago , I’m somewhat surprised that it is still around at all. I sold it to some fellow staffers at the university who bought it for their son who was starting college.
