Got the OEM alarm pulled out, and swapped out the old white LED DRL bulbs for orange ones.

Soon, I’ll have to get an integrated taillight order, get those horrednous windscreen bolts changed and the tires swapped. LEDs for the headlights and it will be good to go for the season :)

I have one of those as well. Yuuuuge upgrade over the stock unit for <$300. Unfortunately I think I’m switching back to stock so that I can run superstock classes this year. Ugh.

Hmmm. I thought MC swaps were legal for most Supersport classes. Is your Superstock stricter rules?

CCS allows a different MC but need to run DOT tires.

WERA allows slicks but need to run stock MC.

Last year I raced with both in superbike only classes where you can do whatever you want. T his year I’m planning to stick with just WERA due to their schedule being more convenient geographically. I can run 3 classes (including supersport) with one bike as long as I switch back to the stock MC.

Do they go either or on the tires/MC? I thought CCS allowed slicks in SS? My race org, CRA, just adopted slicks in SS this year. I’ll be racing with CCS in August at Blackhawk.

I try to stay SS legal so I can run SS, SB, and GP. My bike is questionably SS legal in certain ways.

Just checked & CCS changed their supersport tire rules for this year:

2018 Rules : H. Tires must be DOT approved. (1.) If the Race Director declares a “Wet” event, commercially available rain tires may be used in place of DOT approved tires for the remainder of that race day

2019 Rules: H. Tire choice is open to the competitor, DOT approved, racing slicks or commercially available wet weather tires are permitted. Competitors are responsible for evaluating the individual product and assess the suitability for the event.

Its about time. The spirit of the DOT tire rule died almost twenty years ago during the Michelin-Dunlop tire wars of the early 2000s.
