I’d have the dining room (and maybe the living room as well) open onto the patio. Maybe in keeping with the theme, use overhead doors with translucent panels, so that on nice days you can let in a ton of light and air (bugs permitting)

That “ hall” looks rather useless. I think you either connect it to the bedroom, or just have the bath open to the garage and use the hall as storage space (there’s a distinct lack of closet space here).

You can actually buy double doors like that, but they are pretty much always fake double doors (though that still leaves me confused as to why you’d have the functional door hinge at the center rather than the side.)

I’ve only ever seen them open away from each other (great for moving furniture) , or in the same direction (like at a mall entrance).

As I say, you can get units like this (where one door is fake) , but they don’t make much sense to me:

Yeah. Turn the dining room into the kitchen. O ld kitchen becomes master bath. Knock out the wall between kitchen and living room. Then it's perfect.
