Someone in a Dodge C harger with bald tires was stuck in the snow in my neighborhood. He had been idling so long to stay warm and charge his phone that he ran out of gas. I filled up a gas canister for him and right after I was done helping him, these two older guys in an Audi Q5 drove by.
The passenger rolled down his window and said, “you need Audi Quattro.” They didn’t even slow down or ask if we needed anything. Why he felt the need to roll down his window at all to say anything is beyond me.
What really gets me is that he specifically said not just “Quattro” but “AUDI Quattro.” He couldn’t have just said “all wheel drive?” Or “winter tires” or, I don’t know, nothing?

I’m definitely investing in a towstrap kit, with different attachment options. The Queen could have probably freed that hatchback that I saw struggling to leave its own driveway.
Then I realized, if someone can’t invest in some snow chains, he deserves that predicament.
Also, at Fred Meyer, there was a Charger with chains on the rear tires. I could only nod approvingly.

Damn they sure drank the marketing Koolaid. Next time they should try driving in the snow with Quattro+ Summer performance tires

I strongly reccomended you stay off the rest of the internet if you think it’s bad here.
Not helping a stranded driver i s one thing (bad enough) but going out of your way to make fun of someone who’s stuck ? Just not the kind of thing I believe in.
Yep, definitely hope they end up in a ditch. Unhurt of course , but a bit of body damage, some wounded pride and a few hours waiting for a tow wouldn’t bother me in the slightest.

Don’t forget, he also brought the fact he was in an Audi into it. That was pretty classist.
In my mind he was saying “have more money, poor”. In my mind people who have that attitude have had very few consequences in his life, and probably needs a few.

reminds me of an asshole senior manager that has a similar attitude for his 4MATIC eclass. “its the only way I can get into my driveway.” Then drives with whatever low profile all season they came with while bragging how he still does the full speed on the highway inshitty weather . It was entertainig to watch him try and get out the parking lot. How he hasn’t killed someone i don;t know.

That’s exactly the point. Just because I person chooses to walk or bike doesn’t mean they hate cars or don’t own one.
But to some people who will literally
start their car to drive go to the other side of the parking lot, choosing to walk/bike is totally foreign to them.
