Playing the music for a screening of the film. Some great music, but very little for me to do. Oh well, pay’s the same. Next weekend it’s Singin’ in the Rain.

Thought you’d appreciate this recital I was to recently. Peter Conte is head organist at the famous Wanamaker Court organ in Philadelphia and is one of the world’s leading experts on playing large scale orchestral music on organ. Andrew Ennis played flugelhorn on some things and organ four-hands on others. Best concert I’ve been to in ages. Also I tuned the organ for it - Rockefeller Chapel, University of Chicago.

I thought of you this morning as I enjoyed a Hardee’s country-fried steak & egg biscuit (I’m back in Florida visiting family, briefly). Will get another one tomorrow on my way back to Indiana (plus some Bojangles ham & egg biscuits later).

We went to VA over New Years and it never occurred to me to go to Hardee’s. I did, however, go to the AYCE seafood restaurant and gorge myself on crab legs. I have yet to find a decent East Coast seafood restaurant in my neck of the woods. All they know how  to do down here is blacken things.

I’ve n ever been a fan of seafood, perhaps the one flaw in my plan to visit Iceland sometime soon to go 4x4ing.
