I wear a size this in Jaguar Project 8.
I have an unconventional love for Sedans with overpowered engines and I’m not ashamed to admit it. Something about a factory almost sleeper is awesome.
Take my 9-3 Aero for instance, it may not be as fast an as impressive as some other Sedans, but no one expects it to be what it is. It looks like a boring plain old grocery getter, but with minimal work (A tune, some exhaust work) it can be pretty quick.
The lotus Carlton is another perfect example of unconventionally fast sedans. It has no reason to be this fast, it shouldn’t exist, but it does and I need it.

The ultimate modern sleeper, IMO, is the Honda Accord 2.0T 6MT.
Sure it’s FWD, but it’s got the Civic Type R motor and is massively easy to tune.
Shouldn’t exist in this sedan-hating and stick-hating market, but it does.

Is it a direct swap from the Type R or did they do some other stuff to make it slightly different?

It’s detuned from Type R power levels, I think it’s 252/273 hp/tq in the Accord. Almost all of the parts are shared, or at least directly compatible. Aftermarket tuner suppliers would be wise to certify all their Type R packages for the Accord too, since that broadens the market considerably.

That’s pretty neat then.
While I’m not exactly a fan of Honda and likely won’t buy one, knowing that option is there is good haha

The fact that Jaguar won’t make a properly-quick XE, outside of the Project 8, makes me a bit sad. The M3 and C63 need some British competition.
