I still hate every minute of 8Fast8Furious (and they’ve doubled-down on the absurd, ridiculous action and cheesy 80's-era one-liners), but I’d watch it and just convince myself that it’s part of the “Transporter” universe.
Much better.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is basically Schwarzenegger to millennials. Change my mind.

Are you serious? Other than the first Transporter movie, the rest of the series are substantially worse than almost all F&F movies.
This coming from a person who doesn’t like the majority to F&F movies to begin with.

If you’re willing to turn your brain off AND leave it elsewhere, these films are a fun time waster.
To be fair tho, I saw the last 3 FF films for free during advance screenings.

The franchise is pretty much dead to me at this point, but I’ll probably watch it eventually. They might not get my money in theaters, or the day it’s released to home video, but I’ll give it a chance once it hits the $5 bin.

Respectfully disagreeing—I enjoyed Transporter 1 and 2 (number 3 really didn’t resonate with me), and feel like their tone and ridiculous action sequences are more in line with F&F’s current direction. I haven’t really enjoyed Fast and Furious entries as much while they’ve moved away from a focus on automotive subculture to essentially a comic-book movie without superpowers ( except for the cars).
Unfortunately, I resign myself to the juggernaut money-making ability of the franchise despite my niche preferences.

Three advance screenings? Wow, I only had that happen once when a friend gave me tickets to "Need for Speed."

sorry.. i only drink beer (well.. ill have wine if thats what i got)
my time with stronger more interesting booze is behind me... (my time of waking up at the copshop and getting fined over a grand for wrecking their car is too.... might be related)
and really... its not so much a drink that goes best with f&f its a state of being
wich is lightly buzzed and in the process of getting past lightly buzzed

You didn’t mention Idris Elba was in it too. This is a must see. Once it hits video though. But a must see nonetheless

If you're a fan of his, I assume you've seen the series "Luther"--if not, you should.

He keeps trying, and failing, to convince me to watch that travesty.
Never going to happen, [redacted first name].
Nope.

Yasss!
No single person ever in the history of all the things has ever had so much swagger whilst simultaneously donning a pastel, tasseled toboggan.
No one!

Okay, that got a laugh out of me.
But it’s mostly because I saw “Tango & Cash,” it’s a hilariously terrible movie—but its existence confirms everything Kevin Smith said about John Peters.

Loved it. Luther was a great series.
