THE RACE

THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS
Sorry that this was so belated. Bunch of real world stuff limited my work time. But w hat a way to start the year! For me at least, this was very reminiscent of Le Mans last year, in that it felt like a race . There was drama, close calls, and big battles left and right. The long green flag runs helped too. Though perhaps the racing wasn’t the cleanest I’ve ever seen, though I’ll just chalk that up to learning the new cars for now. An all around good race though. and hopefully this quality of racing continues.
Now, onto the next race. Catalunya ! Or at least it should be. As you may or may not be aware, the latest update to Forza 7 has created an issue where your car can get hit and stuck in the pitlane. Obviously, this a major issue in a racing series where cars need to pit two or more times per race, usually at the same time. I’ve worked with other series organizers to try and find ways to mitigate this, but with not much success finding a feasible solution. Therefore, Round 2 at Catalunya is being postponed until further notice . I’m sure many of you were looking forward to this race, and I am sorry it has come to this, but this is largely out of my control. At the moment, I cannot say what this means for the overall schedule. As soon as I work that out, I will let all of you know.
However, that does not mean we aren’t racing this weekend. Remember my 80s/90s privateer idea from way back when? I want to do a little proof of concept...
A great start to what will hopefully become a great year after Turn 10 fixes their game. Again. Thanks for racing, and I’ll see you at the next round, whenever that may be.

Well we’re racing tomorrow so maybe you can hop on sooner rather than later! OEC got postponed due to a bug like I said, but we’re still doing some racing. A lot more open builds tbh.
