What is it: a gun that shoots tennis balls
Does it work: Yup. Shove tennis ball in front, pull back on the slider up top, pull trigger to shoot tennis ball.
It goes far enough to work in a yard. I can easily throw farther than it shoots, but this is more fun. It’s basically a catapult inside.
Yes, it works if you hold it sideways. Yes, you look cool doing it. Yes, the urge to shoot the dog in the ass when she's chewing on something she's not supposed to is enormous.

I grabbed one of these on sale a few months back. Our lab is terrified of the gun, but loves the fact that it shoots LOL.

Oh man I might need to get one of these. I wonder if real tennis balls are the exact same diameter as the nerf ones. Our dog is a strong chewer and we’ve noticed tennis balls “made for dogs” are cheap and he collapses them in a few minutes but the real “ extra duty” tennis balls last much longer, and they are cheaper anyways.

Same size tennis ball. And to be clear, it shoots about 15 yards. Not far, but fun and silly

Man that thing looks awesome! Our boxer will only fetch a Frisbee , and tennis balls are too small for our mastiff. I still have a “Sling King” which I use in the summer to launch soccer balls for the big girl.

FYI I’ve read that the felt on real tennis balls is more abrasive than that on the dog specific ones and is worse for their teeth ...

We also have the nerf dog frisbee, and I am constantly impressed by how well it flies

Yeah I’ve seen stuff like that too but if you Google if pretty much any dog toy is safe, there will be some website telling you it can be bad for them in some way.

Have you tried chuckit balls ( https://www.amazon.com/Chuckit-Bounces-Floats-Bright-Available/dp/B000F4AVPA ) ?
I had a foster who would destroy Kong/Nerf/real tennis balls, but she couldn’t do anything to the chuckits. Hell my parents
run over them with their cars and you just pop them back out and they are fine. The only time I’ve seen one visibly damaged is one that got “thrown” by a riding mower, and even that just put a gash on the surface.
