Very cool, great silhouette. Nose looks a bit ill-fitting though

That is fantastic. I have been a fan of the Mark II Riviera (66-71, but 66, 67 are the better ones) for a while, and the Exemplar I is based on a ‘67.
I have thought a resto-mod project on one of these would be cool, but this is a whole new ball-game in terms of re-styling, with some great ideas... even the precursors of the T-tops that would later become popular, although the Exemplar’s looks to be fixed glass panels in the roof.
It is a show car, so obviously is a bit ostentatious, but the lines are gorgeous.
Hemmings reports that t he car was commissioned by Bridgeport Brass Company, and the Copper Development Association to highlight using Copper for more decorative and functional purposes beyond wiring.
The car was designed by Carrozzeria Coggiola of Orbassano, Italy. Sergio Coggiola being the head of the studio, the car was penned by Mario Revelli de Beaumont.
The hemmings article is very interesting, with some other details of how it came about, and how the President of Bridgeport Brass saved the car from being crushed.

Bid up to over $800K, but didn’t sell? Hmmm... another “I know what I got” type of seller.

Not in design, but in concept I’m reminded of the Pontiac Fa rago.
