Kinja'd!!!

For car buying.

It’s  a replacement for the existing farm Jimny, which has broken just about everything. 2002, good from about 40ft if you’re blind, with some interesting noises from the release bearing. Lift kit to be fitted, and needs the heater fixing. Should hopefully be good for a few years.

The Jimn y is a farm vehicle, and not something like that Land Rover in front of it?

Do you use it more for towing or transportation around the farm like Americans use side- by- sides and ATVs.

It gets used as a side by side, we had a series of Kawasaki Mules but they were underbuilt to cope with what they get used for and wore out too quickly for what they cost. In the winter it has to get out in muddy fields to take out bags of feed etc. The rest of the year it’s fetching cows in for milking every day, which is where the Jimny is better than the rest of the small off roaders as it’s got a proper low range.

They are nice and light so don’t sink like something bigger would. Any towing sees a mini loader or tractor.

The Defenders don’t see farm use, pretty much all road use towing box trailers about, and as everyday cars.

I guess the enclosed cab is a big plus as well. That makes a lot of sense now.
