I was reminded earlier by

‘s Volvo appreciation post that I have been unfairly withholding a vast hoard of Swedish porn that must see the light of day. Our local Volvo club,

, recently became a full-fledged chapter of the VCOA, and as such, petitioned to host the National meet. Fortunately for us local nerds, they were awarded the event, and so it was that on September 21st a wide variety of Gothenburg’s finest descended on Santa Rosa Park in San Luis Obispo, California for the SLORolling Festival and VCOA National Meet. Some amazing cars, people, and stories came out on a beautiful day at the park, after several days of pre-show activities. These included a unicorn P1900, a P1800 that was quite literally dragged out of the flames in Paradise, CA ( in addition to several other beautiful examples), a number of Amazons in every spec, a variety of 544s, a Duett, 240 and 780 Bertones, the trolliest and cleanest turbobricks I’ve ever seen, and everything in between. There were front wheel drive 850s, S60s, V70s, R’s, and the like there too, but I, uh, forgot to take pictures of them. So, without further ado and in rather messy form thanks to Kinja being borky, please enjoy these shots from the day. And remember, I will not be held responsible for any Volvo lust or purchases made after viewing.

Pretty cool to have such an event land here! Most of the time my inner Volvo fanboy lies dormant, but not this day.

Forever a pants tightener. An ES would be my ultimate Volvo.
