Looks like they are (or were at this time last year) resurfacing it, as it had gotten a bit degraded.

ha - I had no idea that “window” in the tunnel popped out in the middle of a cliff.  Very cool.  That is a spectacular road - tunnel and approaches, (assuming you don’t get stuck behind a line of rental RVs...)

Not wrong. That one complex of fires to the NW of Sydney contains over 600,000 hectares (1.5 million acres ) of bushland   burnt in the last two months...and that's only a fraction of what has been burnt since August (something like 2.5 million hectares so far).

Summer has only just begun.

the gorge you cross over on the other side (where the videos starts) parallels the cliff. one of my favorite technical slots.
