I was out on my FJR1300 when I spotted this glorious vintage Yamaha ( update: a few minutes of googling reveals this is a 1987 FZR1000, the launch year for this model! ). It was nearly 50 degrees out and dry, and still no road salt s ince yesterday’s rain. So a lot of folks were out on their motos. I took the opportunity to change the motor oil and final drive oil on the Feejer too. Mmm fresh:
I always find the hardest part of doing a moto oil change is getting an accurate level reading because the bike has to be parked on a dead-level surface. I took this reading while parked on the local walmart outside walkway right next to the building. Damn parking lots around here are rarely actually level, even gas stations are usually slanted.

Dual headlight old sportbike, still so tempting even though I don’t think I have the moxie anymore.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

I still look for dual-headlight FZR600's on Craigslist. Also, the unicorn FZR400.

I am usually disciplined enough to not look very often. Storage is an issue, and I don’t really want to hit my healthcare deductible in a week. So cool though, I’d end up being one of those oldsters who parks a bike as a work of art.
