Took the Mini out for a blast this afternoon. It was a nice day to be out and about and it seems to be running well. Talked with a guy about his Manx at the gas station after we talked about the Mini. It’s nice finding car folks.

I had one for a day in England. Amazing little things. Panasport wheels? What can you tell us about the spec of your car? I will have one of these one day.

I’m not sure on the brand of the wheels. They are what it came with and I’ve never looked that close. Now I’m curios.
1990 Mini Mayfair 998. It has about 18k miles on it now. We’ve put about 3500 miles on it over the last 2 years. White with a grey interior. In the grand scheme it is pretty boring for a Mini. No garish stripes or custom interior. It is a Japanese market car. The previous owners clearly did some things to it. The wheels are aftermarket I’m guessing . I think they may have also removed the AC as there are brackets in the engine bay that indicate that it may have been there. Body is in great shape. Looks like just a little rust at the bottom of the drivers door.
I bought and imported from Flavien Vidal who posts around here. I’m thinking that I want to get another one in a year or two. They are huge fun and relatively easy and fun to work on.

Very cool. I want something I could learn to work. Something light and great handling that isn’t crazy fast. I could join the European vintage car club near me.

There are a few very good YouTube channels that will show you just about everything with the car. They are also pretty easy to get parts from. I get parts from the UK and California in about 4 days.
