2016-2019 Tacoma Limited in Blazing Blue Pearl with brown leather and 4WD. There’s a lot of good things about these.
*Truck
*Bright blue with brown leather.
*Features I want (keyless access, push button start, sunroof, heated seats, and some safety technology).
*Toyota reliability
*Possible to find under $30,000
*Good resale (so a cheap one would be a strong flex for me).
I’m waiting for it to be sunny so I can go look at a used Limited somewhere this weekend. The headroom thing is an issue for some, but I’m hoping it’s not for me.

Yeah, I bet driver headroom would be an issue for me, though it looks like fun otherwise..

I always loved the looks, but I hated the way it drove. You might have better luck than I.
Side note - This morning I saw the twin of the one you posted but with a matching bed cap on back. It was beautiful, but I’m sure it would let me down if I ever drove one again.

I was looking at Inferno (orange) Tacoma’s in TRD Sport or TRD Off Road trims. Unfortunately, it was very hard to find them with the Premium package. The Limited makes all of the Premium package stuff standard. No Inferno, unfortunately, but pink taillights and brown leather I think balance it out.

I would love a truck exactly like that. But I have come to two conclusions: 1. I need a bigger bed than that, if I’m going to put up with driving a truck everywhere and 2. I’m not sure I could put up with driving a truck everywhere, all the time.
Anyway I’ve got a few years of driving the Volvo Wagon Family Truckster before I can realistically actually buy something else, other than a plow truck for occasional beatings and boat moving purposes.

These come with a long bed! It looks tackier, but it’s still a long bed. My dad’s 5’2” bed carried a couch with the gate down, as well as a mattress and a box spring, so I think the small size can work for some things.

If you’re not picky about color options I bet you’d find one tomorrow.

It’s raining all day tomorrow, and any dealer with a Tacoma with a sunroof is 10+ miles away.

Do you need the back seats?

You’re a sunroof fan? I feel like I’m in the minority but I really don’t care for them. The only rob room for my height in most cars, and I’m not even tall. On older cars, they just leak or fail. Pardon the negativity. Good luck.

My 2012 Toyota with a sunroof has 94,000 miles and no sunroof issues. I use it a good bit, and my mom did, too.
Fun fact: that’s the reason I have a Limited model. All my mom wanted was a sunroof, and even though they offered the sunroof on the Base and Sport models, Southeast Toyota only had a Limited in Black Forest Pearl. At this point, I’m now glad my parents made the jump for the other features. Then, my mom wanted heated seats, some keyless access, etc. for her next car.

That’s a nice truck. I too dream of owning a Tacoma, kind of sad that my 2012 Rav4 might be loosing its Oppo twin here. I just put a remote starter in mine by the way.

This wouldn’t be for a while, don’t worry! I graduate in May. I was thinking about having the key converted to a Lexus card key for my RAV, though, but I couldn’t find one for sale. Plus, I’d have to get someone to do the job for me.

I like the interior space of having backseats, but the legroom isn’t needed. I know these have bad backseats.

Yeah, I could see you having an issue with both headroom (especially with the sunroof) and legroom. No way to know unless you get a drive in one, though. I’m 6'1", 34" inseam. The Tacoma has a very high floor relative to other trucks.

This is why I need to look at one with the sunroof, and they’re kind of hard to find used. Very close dealers have used SR5 models, but those obviously lack sunroofs.

If I’m giving up a sunroof and heated seats, I might as well keep my current ride. The fact the Tacoma offers what it does is better than the Colorado (no sunroof or keyless), the Frontier (no keyless), and the Ridgeline (just kind of dull). I’ve also thought about Ranger Lariats, but those are still in the first year.

Don’t know about the backseats, but if you don’t need a bigger bed, go for it.

I hate to break it to you, but the Tacoma probably won’t work for you. Those things are not designed with tall people in mind. I was hopeful that the new 2020 with a power drivers seat would work, but it still wasn’t good enough.

The card key thing sounds very cool. I’d like to get a subtle lift kit for my rav if I ever could find one but not sure if even one exists.
