I couldn’t figure out why this looked so terrible then I realized its because its 4 corner air springs. neat. Still ugly though.

The lower part of the front bumper is also chopped off on the Z71 for better approach angle. (It’s on the left in this pic.)

Pretty cool, adjustable up to 4 inches, so you can lower it on the highway and raise it on the trail.
I’ve seen video of that Z71, and it looks a lot better than those initial photos. Some angles, it looks like it’s missing something.

Yeah, but I mean specifically I couldn’t figure out why it looked so bad for lift...then I saw DT post about the IRS and I saw air springs and it dawned on me.

Agreed and with it jacked up like that, they needed to come out with some meaty tires. May not come from the factory like that but 100% dealers will be slapping them on.
It basically looks like it’s on stilts.

I mean its great that it has the option and now as fully ind it actually matters, but they shouldn’t have brought it out in high mode.

The color sucks, but I like this more than the Suburban or the Escalade. Being height adjustable is nice too.

it really is. With this facia, IRS/IFS and adjustable height this will make a really great weekend warrior rig. Something that tows the trailer to moab but can handle some of the family friendly trails just fine.

Do nt get me wrong the irs is really impressive for GM to come out with.

I’ve been eyeing up the new Expeditions for this reason. The FX4 package is supposed to be decent too, with a selectable locker. Seems this will fill the same space. Unfortunately, it will also cost a small fortune.

Are the front wheels positively cambered? That lift looks... awkward. They didn’t push the wheels outward at all, so it kinda looks like an elephant.
EDIT - Just read further down, i see why it looks like this now.
