He was one of the reasons Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was such a great series. I’m really bummed.

Oh damn! That is incredibly sad news! I always thought DS9 was underrated by most people and I loved Odo’s character...RIP Rene, I was one of the wide-eyed young kids that watched your show...

I always felt that they over-emphasized the whole loner angle, but there were some really good episodes with him . I think my favorite was “Treachery, Faith, and the Great River” where Weyoun 6 told him about the Founders’ disease. Man, DS9 just doesn’t get the love that it should.

Movie was very different from the series - especially the last few years of the series, which got mushy whenever Alda wrote an episode.
Movie is darker as I recall. Very worth watching.

The dialog alone is worth the film. Robert Altman’s style of crossing conversations is so very real. The first half of the film is poignant, the football game is just fun.
