Fuck, let’s make this a full calendar of Cross-Country High-Speed Regularity races or Endurance Tarmac r allies , with Targa Newfoundland, Targa Florio, Carrera Panamericana and Mille Miglia being the crown events. Add in a Wangan race , a Middle-East rally and a Cross-Africa Race , to cover almost every continent that has tarmac roads, and includes both road cars and race cars.

Most of those events you listed already have long established modern event formats with their own regulations and rules which gather huge entries every year.
Then there’s the Cannonball. Cannonball has always been illegal, something you shouldn’t do and certainly something you shouldn’t be able to set a record doing. Sure you could probably put on a closed road event with a set of regulations and get entries but the people who run cannonballs will have zero interest in it as to them it won’t be a real cannonball run. So you made an official cross country event but the unofficial stuff is still going to happen.
