Is the Evo cool? Maybe, maybe not. But the world is worse off without it.

I still grieve the loss of the Celica gt4 in rallying.

I certainly think it is. The 4g63 is legendary and the 4b11 is a fantastic engine. Plus, the evo had a really phenomenal awd system in a relatively light weight car. There’s a reason why they’ re still used in time attack.
I periodically contemplate getting one. But my fiance hates them

That’s a nice Gulf Livery.
How about some Porto Evo

It’s the coolEST of the turbo-nut four-door rally sedans, yes.
Especially in that livery. Swoon.

that sounds like a good reason to pawn the ring to buy an Evo.

I doubt I'll ever own one, and that makes me sad

It’s not the cost so much as her perception of the sort of people who typically own that sort of car. She's not too far off base, but that sort of thing has never really bugged me.

I had a GVR4. Fantastic car. 4 bolt wheel pattern and a touch of torque steer out of turns. Though mine had a little under 400whp (and the fubar’d trannies to prove it). I still miss the car.
