Fun fact, at my old company it was easier to order a Toyota key off of eBay than to get maintenance to give me one.

FYI, there are two part numbers. There used to be one for the old Toyota forklifts, then they came out with a new one.

The part numbers are:

TOYOLD

TOYNEW

I once spilled a pallet of deer apples. It was a good 6 feet tall and not very well packed. But I was in a hurry. Turned a bit too fast and it toppled over. I do miss having a job where I use a forklift tho. The gas station I used to work at also had the share house that stored product for all of our sister stores and basically became in charge of the share house because I liked being out there much more than being in the station.

I've heard stories like that as well but no first hand experience thankfully.

Nice one. Had that happen once. The maintenance guys decided to clean the hydraulic fluid with the floor scrubber. All it did was spread it around and make a skating rink out of the dock. Shut us down for a day and a half and destroyed the floor scrubber.

G ood times

Fluid injection injuries are no joke. Beyond the initial damage, their nature tends to have a really high likelihood of necrotic infection to follow because there isn’t really a way to clean ALL of the fluid out of the surrounding tissue . That story would be a good way to end up with a thumb amputation a few weeks down the road.

They were one of I wasthree things really weary of back in my hydraulic mechanic days. The other being things breaking when were testing cylinders and pumps, and when we had to rig up a 60 inch pipe wrench pulled on with a hydraulic cylinder via a chain to disassemble really big cylinders (think those giant mobile cranes seen occasionally lumbering down the road).  That was tens of thousands of pounds torque being applied to a huge wrench.

Hydraulic fluid is really insidious, too. It is pretty readily absorbed into skin, which isn't good.
