Mainstream? Used to be Ford (ST, RS, GT & Mustang) but... not anymore. Probably Subaru or Mazda?

Niche? Caterham or Ariel

Packard, and “ask the man who owns one”.

That’s mostly a troll response because I don’t really know.

After years of BMWs and other expensive vehicles I bought my first Mazda and couldn’t be happier and I wish I had bought one sooner. Now I have almost all of the driving pleasure that I had with my Germans in something that is actually well-built, affordable, inexpensive to operate and 100% reliable. The fact that for years they offered manual transmissions in vehicle classes, like minivans (I have a Mazda5), that normally don’t get them makes me love Mazda even more.

I don’t think I really have one. Historically, maybe Tatra or Duesenberg. Today,  ???

Pontiac and Citroen. Citroen because I like quirky, weird, cool, mechanically unorthodox cars, and that basically describes Citroen. Pontiac because... I don’t know, honestly. I just generally tend to think Pontiacs are cool. But I like any car that seems interesting to me, it doesn’t really matter who made it.

I’ve only owned two Toyota’s so far. They are my favorite because they are reliable, solid and safe daily drivers. They are the only two I’ve bought.

No budget: Ferrari. The history, the sounds that their engines make, their general designs are nice (even the controversial Bertone models). Their cars aren’t always the absolute fastest, but they are fast and generally incredible to drive. I’ve owned an F355 before and plan to get back into a Ferrari again. A 430 Scuderia would be my someday keeper.

On a budget: Honda. They have everything from boring to fun, auto to manual, small to large, comfy to sporty. For a while the US market didn’t get anything fun, but today Honda has a great lineup worldwide. I’d rock a Civic Si or Type R, with a toned-down body kit and no wing for either case. Honda makes my favourite inline-4 engine s. A K20 on VTEC cam sounds like half of a Ferrari V8 (because it kind of is).

I’m pretty sure that if I actually lived in a place where I could buy a modern Citroen, it would be my favourite affordable brand.

I’d totally rock a C4 Cactus and also   that car  with the fixed-hub steering wheel (Grand Picasso?).

Must jump on the Mazda bandwagon as well.

I’ve had three of them and they’re all well-built, reliable, fun, economical, and simple to work on. Can’t ask for much more.

I honestly don’t have one. As long as it’s built well I don’t care about the brand.

Now that’s one I have never heard. I have know about Austin-Heale y for a long time and yet you are the first that I know to have ever said that’s their favorite brand.

I forgot to add what mine was in the post so I will just comment it. My favorite brand is Pontiac used to be BMW before I liked cars. But when I drove my dad’s 1988 Pontiac Firebird TransAm GTA I knew I had to have something like it. So ever since Pontiac has been my main.

Honda with a slight hint of Toyota, hence the name that I now use for everything even if it’s not related to cars at all. And it’s because:

Supra

Celica

Celica Supra

Lexus shit because it’s still a Toyota

Anything with a 2JZ

And for Honda, everything they've ever made is why I love them. Especially the EP3 Type R.

Modern: Ariel

Classic: Bugatti

In reality I probably don’t have a favorite. I just try to appreciate each car for what it is and what it does best, whether that’s screaming around a racetrack or hauling groceries. Because i n the end it’s whatever puts a smile on your face, regardless of what others may think.
