What a shitstorm, the buyer pulled the close date from De cember 6th to today. We’ve had to scramble to get everything packed up and moved, we are now renting three storage lockers: 10' by 5' heated space for my instrum ents, audio/video gear and music, 20' by 10' for all the furniture (radiant heating 55F), and a 25' x 10' for all the other stuff. I have one more truck full of stuff to pick up today (the Taco has been a godsend) and we’re finally done.
Signed the contract to build a 48' by 30' shop and Saturday we’re going to sign up for a new home build
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
In the meantime we’ll c ontinue living in our “ spacious” 670 sq ft cottage, if all goes well shop and house will be ready by next Christmas.

What kind of ass want s to do closing the day before Thanksgiving?! Well, it’s now out of your hair, so on to the next chapter. That's a great looking home model.

i sold one house while buying a new one at the same time with the closing dates suppose to be on the same day. what a gigantic pain in the ass. I had half my stuff in storage, all the electronics from the house in my wife’s minivan locked in my sisters garage and everything else in a 24 foot uhaul parked at my parents house, long story short closed on 2 different days and was homeless for a night... but i have a 3 car garage now so win.

I think that’s a trade-off I’d be willing to do.
I’d love a three car garage. But most of the times the houses attached to said garage are massive. I want a 10 00sqft home with a. 3 car garage. Lol

I was happy when the buyer of our house in Texas wanted a quick close. Thank God, get me off the hook in case anything goes wrong! lol

The faster the closing, the sooner the house you are selling ceases to be your liability :-)
