Born and raised but living in the US. I drove, instructed and raced here and at some point would LOVE to go back home and race.. Until that day, you can see how things work by watching this:

Some parts are fairly accurate, some parts are not. My primary beef with the film and ALMOST every film that has West Indian themes, is that none of the actors are West Indian. There are very few things worse to a West INdian’s ears than hearing someone who cannot the dialect try to.. None of the primary actors in Cool Runnings can truly speak the dialect , even if they have Jamaican or West Indian roots.

Racing in Jamaica? How about Jamaica racing in Texas? Taken when I was at the World RX event at COTA last year.

I’m guessing t he program didn’t really have the time to provide information on the achievements of the drivers they interviewed , but I thought they really should have provided more information when they spoke with David Summerbell.. The man was SCCA Pro-Rally CHampion in 1998 for crying out loud . A link to show that SOME Jamaicans had done well outside of the country would have been a good link connection to forge.. oh well..
