I did !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! It won’t be driving home though. Apparently the one time I got it to fire up was a fluke and now I’m getting symptoms consistent with the PCM not powering up. A great many forum posts I found say that this is most likely the crank position sensor, so I’ve already ordered a $30 replacement.

In the meantime my Mom’s husband* is going to trailer it to my place for me so I’m not working on it in someone else’s driveway. I’ll take delivery next weekend for sure, but he’s going to try to find time before then.

*Same guy I got the Honda Cub from, which btw I finally got the title for last week. I’m gonna wait for spring to register it though so I don’t squander the free week I get to ride it for before getting it inspected.

From what I remember on my 93 XJ the crank position sensor it at the top of the bell housing and you may need the E10 (reverse torx socket) I’m sure there is a YouTube video for it. I didn’t drop the transmission, with a few extensions and some luck you can get it.

Good buy if it works out. And you get the 242 which has the awd/ center differential.
