Got any big plans for the weekend?
Symphony for me tonight and tomorrow, and my highschooler has a big drum corps audition in San Antonio on Sunday morning. Then, the TG b reak starts in earnest , although Mrs. Ttyymmnn has to work on Monday. My plans for next week are to eat, drink, and watch football.
Y’all have a safe weekend.

Tomorrow I’m headed to Tisdale to see a friend who’s having a bit of a rough go. Hoping I can be somewhat helpful.
Sunday is my birthday, so Scotch, Lego, and steak is my plan.
Monday is prepping for another work week, and probably leg day.
Some voluntary overtime to get some work out of the way is likely in the cards.

“Just the facts, Ma’m, just the facts.”
Hey, speaking of Jack Webb... For AGES somebody on the LA (SFV) CL had listed “Jack Webb’s 1968 Eldorado”. Seller had some documentation, including a copy of the pink and original invoice in Mr. Webb’s (RIP) name.
I really sorta dig that body style, always have, but couldn’t get too motivated about the car, given the rough condition, and the guy was sounding a little dick-ish over the celebrity-owned element. “Dude, it’s just an old car now. You can’t swing a dead cat around here without bumping into a B or C grade ex-movie star.” Plus, most people who might know who Jack Webb wa s are in Forest Lawn....
But, he had a car like this. Somehow makes me pleased...

That’s a hell of a lot of car for a two-door.

Interesting. You gonna share it with Oppo when it’s done?

I’m going to drive to the collocation facility our servers are in, take them all out, drive them over to the server room in our new office, install them and then do an incantation to make them all magically work. Good times. My wife is going along to help lift the servers out of their slides so it counts as a date too!

Ahem. They “may” have sold you a lot of air under the hood. As I recall, the layout under there is hilarious. The interior is “comfortable”, not capacious.
But, it’s the ultimate Bill Mitchell “Longer, Lower, Wider” design ethos.
I wantz me sumzat.

I’d like to drag the kids out to Glacier park for a hike before the snow gets too deep. Maybe Avalanch Lake or something also see ford vs ferreri.

Hopefully. Assuming it doesn’t look terrible.

That sounds great. Can I come? Getting my boys off of the computer and even into the front yard is a fight.

It’s all plug and play, right?

It’s Friday, so that means only 3.5 days until my weekend :/
At least it’s payday. I’m celebrating with a trip to Five Guys for lunch. Surplus cash now gone and that means Top Ramen for dinner...

Other than some DNS and NAT changes it's mostly about the physical move not the configuration. It's just a lot of fairly heavy and awkward stuff that's also fragile.

DNS means Did Not Start, right? That’s the extent of what I don’t know about that sort of thing.

U nfortunately I have to work tomorrow so no big plans.
Also t hat picture reminds me, I haven’t watched Dragnet in forever. My brother and I used to watch it all the time growing up.

Everything I know about police and fire fighters I learned by watching Dragnet, Adam-12, and Emergency. And, to a lesser extend, SWAT. IIRC, Dragnet was the first semi-realistic dramatic cop show, and Webb intended it is a means to educate the public on what police work was like. The dialog could have been better, though.
