If you are reading “use mirrors”, you are not using your mirrors.

Was this vehicle formerly a rental? Because then I could sort of understand the warnings.

Looks nice in red.

Ordered my tires for the Yamaha. Progress!

Hmm, now I’m trying to decide which brake the left brake lever operates.

Rear.  It’s the opposite of a bicycle.

I don’t know, but my old ‘74 Buick Apollo had been a “little old lady” car, and she had hardware store letters on the bottom of the dash to remind her which pedal was the gas, and which was the brake.

What tires did you go with?

That makes more sense to me. I rode a bicycle  in the UK that was set up like that (other bikes I rode there weren’t like that), and it was a bit confusing. In fact I think I’ll blame the bloody leg I suffered on that...

My sister used to have a 2003 Honda Civic Sedan that would not chime if you left the lights on (a pretty common issue with those Civics). She worked nights at a hospital, and by the time she got home the sun would be up, so she’d forget to turn off her lights. After she killed the battery a few times, she taped a sign to her steering wheel saying “Lights, Moron!”

Eventually I bought that car off of her and removed the sign because surely I didn’t need it. I killed that battery several times.

I went with some Pirellis from cyclegear.com because options are limited in 3.5-10 and they were recommended on another site.

It will be easy to remember on my scooter because it only has one brake lever for the front. The rear brake is a foot pedal.

Ah, old school. The Helix had a foot brake for the rear too. Same for the Elite 150 and 250.

That stuff drives me nuts. My truck, and I think every GM vehicle from the last 25 years, no matter how shitty and base modelly (that’s a word, right) , has battery rundown protection. If it senses battery voltage getting low, it cuts power to all acc essories to preserve enough power for the vehicle to start.

My wife’s 2015 CX-5, however, has no such thing. My daughters have killed its battery twice now, by either leaving a door open in the garage overnight, or leaving the dome light on. It really pisses me off.

Anyways, good call on the Pir ellies. They’ll be a lot better than the cheap Chinese pieces of donk most people buy these days.

My tires are small enough that even name brand ones aren't too pricey. 2 tires and tax came out to $98. Free shipping too.
