Silver Z51 vert with the dark wheels and the red interior. Damn this thing looks tough.
I usually hate red interiors because they always look kitschy and cheap, but this looks pretty great.

That’s a very rich red color, it looks amazing

That last shot is one of the sexiest looking interiors I’ve seen in a modern car.
Just watched the Leno drive of the roadster and while I ’m normally a coupe guy, the retractable hard top with the independent ‘mid window’ makes me think twice.

“ Yah. Dis est very german colors. De silver paint mit de black top... and de rot inside to give it some clue that it isn’t a black und white photo.”
Seriously, silver is the german racing color from when countries had racing colors , and they tended to spice it up with a red interior, and it is a very cool look on a lot of cars, not just german ones.
The only things I would change... the aero fairings behind the folding top need to stay body color, like a Ferrari Spyder, but the black windshield frame and roof panel look good.
Aftermarket wheels. Sadly the stock C8 wheels just look pedestrian. Not particularly bad, but some Rotiforms or something else forged and concave would look MUCH better.
I’d say smooth out the bodywork from all the overstyled lines and surfaces, but that is a little too inherent, where paint treatment and wheels can be addressed.

Aside from the higher price... the convertible may be the better road car.
The targa coupe probably just as good/better for a mix of road and track, or for people who KNOW they aren’t going to open up the interior very often at all.
Being able to raise and lower the roof any time, and even on a roll, has some enjoyment value on a different level than just pure performance, without much hinderance to the performance aspect. Same chassis rigidity as the targa, less than a hundred extra pounds... not much down-side.
Plus if Z06 or something comes with a true structurally fixed roof and increased performance even over the Z51 package... it may surpass the targa coupe for performance capability.

I thought the same about the wheels. I am going to get a set of bronze Vossen HF2 or S17-01. I think it should pop with the Long Beach Red.

The black roof, and pillars is a good look on this car.

I like it, but why is there so much red/carpet all the way around the sills, trim, and rear area?
I feel like the sills and the carpeting coming up the side should black (also that plastic-to-carpet transition looks suspect, but maybe it’s still pre-production).
Also where the rear panel meets the area behind the headrest I think the panel should come forward more so the red is recessed. Just a little too much red IMO, could have used a little more black trim.

That’s a LOT of red. I think the center console in black might have been the better choice, and the red plastic surrounding the door opening is not going to age well.

That’s going to look GREAT.

Yeah, it’s too much.

well, it don’t look smooth though. Tough perhaps, but its just not at all smooth to me. Caddillac did the creased corner thing and still looked mooth. This is just noisy. I do like however, just not in grey/black tones.
