In case your CR-V wasn’t badass enough from the factory, dual exhaust is apparently available

I was sitting behind one this morning on my way to work and noticed it had dual exhaust. I don’t think those obnoxious chrome tips are factory, though.
If you look closely, you’ll also notice that it’s got dual mufflers. But they are very small, which makes me suspect there’s a third, larger muffler somewhere upstream.
All of which begs the question... why?

I can’t look at a Camry and not see the fake outer tip in their dual setup. It’s always WAY cleaner than the real, inner tip.
Exhausted by the exhaust, or something like that.

There’s one on the other side too, under the wiper.
BTW it only signifies that the wiper is a turbo. It really catapults the water off the glass.

damn staight! (And that little turbo 1.5 might sound pretty good with a Borla catback...)

It’s the trend. My rental Edge has dual exhaust.

Yeah, but this ain't factory. Someone made this, and someone else (presumably) bought it

Probably has a blinking CHMSL too, perfect for camping in the left lane and panic braking every time someone passes on the right.

At least it’s functional: I’ve seen a fair few BMWs rolling around recently with factory fake tips. One side of the car is sooty the other shiny.
If I am ever in a store that sells rubber bananas I’m going to buy one and keep it in my glove box on the off chance I park next to one....
EDIT: nevermind, apparently the exhaust is functional but has a valve that only
cracks it open under high throttle or in sporty mode. So I guess the banana would be a bad idea

I saw a liftedddodge ith all three blinking brake lights, heavily tinted too. Oh, and no headlights in heavy rain. I’ve never been so irritated by another vehicle

I drove back and forth from Kingsgate today, return trip in the rain. Depressing how many vehicles had no lights after 3pm in moderate rain in low visibility.
Fastest vehicles on 405 seem to be lifted trucks and douched out BMWs/Audis.

Yep. I see it every day. Rain, storms, nighttime... You’re lucky if 2/3 have their lights on. And they don’t respond to flashing. I now firmly believe all new cars should have their headlights on at all times, with no way to turn it off. I just don't understand how stupid a person can be, to be driving a silver camry in the pouring rain without any lights to make them more visible...

What gets me is the volume of modern cars with auto lights still running in the dark, because the semi-sentient thing behind the wheel dinked around with the switch. On that note, I gave a dark Accord coupe a couple of flashes yesterday, and they turned on the lights. I think gauges that are constantly lit are a culprit too - negligent design to illuminate the cluster without lights on.
You live on the eastside, you should know stupid people can be. This is a Mecca for people who are book smart and street stupid.
Canada mandated DRLs back around 1990, I think. Also should be a mandate for wipers on = lights on automatically .
