If you’re in a Smart Roadster you’re usually lower than any other car on the road.

Not when you’re beside an MX5.

My Miata is a slightly lowered, and I have a race seat on a fixed mount. Eye level is  tail light height on a normal sedan, bumper with an SUV. It can be unnerving.

I feel almost motorcycle size when I drive my NA, only without the benefit of being able to see over traffic.

Being mere inches from the ground in my Miata is always the thing I notice after not driving the car for a few days. Makes driving my Subaru feel like I am in a van or truck. When I occasionally have to drive an actual van or truck it is the most alien experience I can think of. Its definitely the only reason my Miata ever feels quick.

Face level with the bumper of a school bus. Did you ever notice that, unlike big trucks and semi trailers, school buses don’t have Mansfield bars? (T hat Miata driver actually survived that mishap .)
