Cleaned up the garage and the shed today, and rearranged things for winter. Both my scooters will need a bit of work during their slumber. My Zuma 125 needs a new stator, and my Kymco ZX-50 needs a new front tire. Still need to change the oil in the snowblower and get gas for it.

I also put the snow tires on my truck today. It’s a little earlier than usual, but I sure wish I’d had the last week when we got bombed with snow, then plunged into a January-like deep freeze.

I also finally did the smart thing, and pushed this anci ent and dangerous torch set my dad was given in the 70's , to the curb for the scrappers. Dad’s gonna be pissed when he finds out it’s gone, but too bad.

Hopefully the rest of the snow melts, before leaf pickup ends for the year.

I am still trying to figure out what tires I need to get. The size is 3.5-10, but is that all I need to worry about? One of the spec sheets said that the rear tire is reinforced. I don't know what that means. Any ideas?

No idea. I wouldn't worry about it. Odds are whatever tire you pick, will be a lot better than the tires that were available 30 years ago.

It’s that time. ***Sigh** * I changed the oil and got some ethanol free gas for my snowblower last weekend. My neighbors walked by when I was doing the oil and asked if I was planning for a tough winter. I told them that I didn’t know but I didn’t want to be out there trying to get it ready when it was ten degrees and snowing.

It’s kind of pricey since only premium is available, but better that than a gunked  up carb.

I sorta fixed the starter in my big snow blower last week. It’s not quite right as I think the threads at the end of the shaft that pull the gear in are a bit chewed up but at least it’s unstuck and works sometimes. It’s got a kinda bad leak somewhere in the bottom of the gas tank too, I should probably fix that.  And get some gas too.

I got fed up with fixing my old snow blowers last year. They had developed the habit of never falling to fail me, when I needed them most. I offed  them both and bought a new Toro.
