Worst day of my automotive life , I read the article from, I think it was grassroots motorsports, took a modern minivan (at least ten years ago) and E-type to the track and the minivan got the better time (though I still can't imagine it looked as good or was as much fun to drive).

This isn’t too surprising. As beautiful as an e-type is, the minivan stock has similar horsepower out of the factory and has had far fewer years to lose those ponies. Given the 50 year advantage the van has, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is able to out corner the e type as well, in spite of the massive weight advantage in the e-type's favor..

It’s also worth noting that among stock
mid 2000s minivans, the Odyssey does corner the flattest as well..

Very true. It’d take quite a lot more effort/skill
to get all the power out of the e-type and to not bin it in a corner.
