So that’s how Disney+ makes money. McLaren product placement.

How can it be biannual if it lasts all year?

I find it kind of sad.

Heck, I’d be happy with just a high-mileage old X-34, as long as the anti-gravy unit had its regular service.

Observation: as Tattooine has no oceans and odd tidal patterns on land, its likely that rather than light winds constantly lifting sand into the air, the air is remarkably free of grit outside a sandstorm. That and no rain or other precipitation makes a windshield a luxury feature except for wind relief in long travel. And yet, SoroSuub X34s as in ANH
have them, which means that the sullustans don’t GAF about tailoring their models to local conditions. Therefore, it would be odd to see a SoroSuub without a windshield.
OTOH, Nubian landspeeders of multiple kinds have limited to no canopies and windscreens, but Nubian tech as a whole depends more on gimmicry (shields, etc.) If you’re using it as a city car, don’t need a windshield, if you’re outside the city, you pop a canopy shield.
I guess what I’m saying is that if the Mandalorian landspeeder is announced to be a SoroSuub model as it appears stylistically to be
, the designers are a pack of idiots. Probably.

I need both to do a long term test study on the benefits of windshields both on and off road.

I haven’t see the episode, but I do notice that the propulsion nacelles seem to have flame in the exhaust as one might see with chemical propulsion or some other radiant method. Looks cool, but doesn’t seem likely from an engineering standpoint.

SW land-vehicle engines have always had a hot discharge at minimum (can’t remember if an X34 has visible flame) and at most visible blowtorch
“flames” c.f. podracers and glowing discharge from the Millennium Falcon and fighters in atmosphere.
There are other things than flames that might be producing a flame-like effect (dumping *wildly* ionized particles per Star Wars Science and ion engines
) since the light from a flame is from electrons hopping down valence levels during oxidation...

That’s what I’m thinking. Luke’s speeder though only had a shimmering effect, still implying heat generation and expulsion.
