One is an EV slightly augmented with an IC engine; the other is an ICE car slightly augmented with an electric motor and battery
One is RWD, the other is FWD
One has a single gear, the other has an infinite amount of variation
One is cheap, one is expensive

Fun isn’t something one considers when electrifying a hatchback . But this… does put a smile on my face.

Correction: They’re both cheap now. The depreciation on the i3 is horrendous.

I don’t think the depreciation is particularly gentile on Prii C either....

Looking at used 2017s, it looks like the Prius C runs from $15k-$20k, and the i3 $20k - $25k. New ones are much farther apart.

Yep. I searched cars.com for the “94 ah w/ Range Extender” model, and there are 176 of them in the US for < $25k.
The battery-only ones are a few $k cheaper. It’s worth the extra cost for the 17+ since they have the bigger battery than the earlier years.

Big oof. Well, if it’s a brand new Prius C or a used BMW i3... I think I’d prefer the i3
They kept their value much better over here.

The fact I was all in on the i3 before I got the cayenne GTS still baffles some. If our daughter could climb in her own car seat we may have ended up with the i3 and a 996. I still look at them and think about it. Fun little car to drive around but the roar of the V8 does too.
