lol yeah...fantastic system
(but tbh...i think we just dont have anyone checking stock levels and placing orders for new stuff in a timely manner...we’re constantly running out of things...its just normally smaller things you can work around by making something else....everything needs cables)

Is good, as long as you actually keep on track of your inventory usage, order stuff before it runs out, and are willing to spend to rush shipment if someone screws up along the way.

You just reminded me that I saved this to listen to later (now).

Sounds like ‘Safety Stock’ isn’t implemented properly (or not at all) ? (No need to physically check the stock if you have a proper (digital?) stocking system in place).

I just want to say that Veep had some of the best insult-writing I've ever seen.

It’s 2019, mate, why aren’t those machines wireless in the first place?

if they ever get it working right it should be great...its not looking hopefull at mo... comunication between management, IT, and the warehouse is non existant.... well... they talk at eachother..but nobodies listening

You will not ruin my snarky joke at someone else’ s expense by interjecting logic, context, and nuance . My interwebs will have none of that!

I tried to implement a digital stocking system paired to handscanning item barcodes during an internship once. It worked great.....WHEN the warehouse workers actually remembered to scan the items.

they do seem to struggle with that part yes
i also question the wisdom of handing them scanners that can go on the interwebs... they’re basically chubby smartphones with youtube and facebook

If you like people being terrible to each other, it’s a good show.

Haha, this was quite a while ago (10+years ago), they were old handscanners like what you had in supermarkets. The grey ones with just the red laser on it, when you scanned something, it appeared on your computer screen, so no facegram on your scanner.

It’s also got brilliant writing, and according to my mother who was a congressman’s aide is actually a fairly accurate representation of US government.

And it gave us “droned a wedding” as a synonym for “really nailed it”, I work that into conversation as much as possible.

Ive no idea how we aren’t going out of business
Must be a hell of a profit margin on these things
