File this under “Things car guys notice”

One of the scenes in the movie shows cars on track and in the pits at Mugello, but they are going the wrong way. I can’t seem to find any reference to the track being setup in a reverse/counter-clockwise configuration.

Not sure why they would set it up  that way, other than the track was only booked for a few hours, and the sun/light was in the wrong place for filming.

I don’t know about mugello, but many tracks cannot be run backwards safely. The runoff areas are in the wrong spot, the safety barriers are in the wrong place. There was a death a few years ago at one of those “drive a supercar” track days, where  to save tire wear they ran it backwards. Someone had an off and ran into an exposed piece of concrete that would be impossible to hit from the correct direction.
