Drove my GTI this morning to work. This is the first time I’ve driven it in almost two weeks while I was putting miles on the trade-in and then breaking in the new Outback.
I am working on a detailed report on the Outback, but in summary, it is a great car for ground clearance and capacity, it handles well, but the GTI just fits me and is so much more sporty. And all of the user interfaces are simply intuitive.
It’s good to be back in the GTI. This is why I refused to trade the GTI in when I wanted a camping vehicle.

The VW Golf is just a great all rounder.
It doesn’t do a particular thing fantastically (can be made to, but at the cost of other elements), but does all things very very well.
