I love the way the headlights look on my car. I do wish I could have the DRLs be the 3 swoops without the main beam but it only lets you have everything or nothing.

IIHS isn’t impressed though: https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle/toyota/corolla-4-door-hatchback/2019#headlights

Acceptable for preferred package curve-adaptive lights and marginal for the lights on SE and manual XSE.

yeah toyota is going LED crazy, putting them on all the cars even in base trim. They’re not testing all that great at IIHS but I’ll take these over any halogen reflector.

They are miles better than the headlights on any of my previous cars so I’m happy.

They are way better than any of my previous cars (especially the Mini which had absolutely horrible low beams) so I’m happy with them.

Pre-facelift Mini headlights are borderline dangerous. The facelifted cars are only marginally better.

Looking closer at those graphs now there’s a clear difference between the drivers side and passenger’s side spread. Driving the car you can see the driver’ s side is cut off noticeably lower than the passenger’s. You can see it in the graphs too, the driver’s side spreads noticeably shorter. I wonder if this has anything to do with the previous generation of Corolla which has a nasty habit of blinding oncoming drivers.

Maybe, they did say that glare wasn’t an issue for this one.

It just looks to me like they may be being overly cautious about glare.

If only they would add some LED headlights to the 4runner. The fact that thing costs $50k for a TRD Pro and it still only comes with halogen headlights is absolutely ridiculous.
